Look up with MySky!!

My sky, made by mead, is a new gadget that educates the user about the constellations and space in general. The medium sized, gun shaped astronomy tool is actually a telescope with a pretty good-sized LCD screen. It features instructional videos, sky maps, video tours, and a trigger that will illuminate your understanding of the universe. This gives new meaning to the phrase, “shoot for the stars.” It really is cool!

The main purpose of this gadget is to identify whatever it is in space that you are looking at. To use it, you simply point the gun toward whatever you want to know about and it will tell you the name of the planet, constellation, or galaxy in question. It can record what you shoot and you can even download updated information and tours from the internet. Man, I wish these were out when I was a kid. (Sigh) Well, I am definitely getting one for my kids. Which means that when its freezing outside at Christmas we’ll all be standing on my porch hoping to catch some awesome sights!

They aren’t available yet, but you can pre-order them now at astronomical binoculars If nothing else, you should definitely check it out. This would be the coolest tool for unschooled or homeschooled children.
