Are we studying the right books?

On Sunday mornings I run down to Starbucks in Barnes and Noble, with my mom. We drink our coffee and wait for the book store to open its doors. So lately I have been looking at the books marked Start Your Own Internet Business and 206 Jobs You can Do From Home and all the rest of the books in the work at home section. (Yes, the bookstore has a work at home section)

I'm sad to say I didn't find anything good. Most of the jobs are outdated and some of the sites listed don't even exist anymore. I realized the problem at once. See by the time someone writes a book, gets it published, and sees it on the bookstore shelf time has gone by. What people that have great resources need are ebooks, so that they have ever changing information. I have even found a few on the web, like Stacy Perez's free ebook that is updated constantly. I originally saw her ebook on another work at home site, and I have requested that I get a link to it for this blog. Hopefully you will be able to see this wonderful resource soon on this blog. I will certainly send out a post letting you know when it officially becomes available here. So stay tuned for that.

In the mean time, be careful what you read, and if you get a published book regarding work at home jobs or starting your own business, make sure you check the dates on the book. Make sure its new and remember because its on the market in bookstores all accross the nation, they are most likely going to be be picked over jobs anyway.
